The Atomos Zato CONNECT simultaneously transmits and records HDMI and USB video. With its 5.2" touchscreen with 1920x1080 resolution, it functions as a gateway to the ATOMOS Cloud Studio software thanks to its Wi-Fi 5, Gigabit Ethernet and cellular hot spot connectivity. You can fully customise your streaming by switching between video sources and mixing audio sources in a single compact device so small it can be mounted on a DSLR camera.
It has HDMI input and two USB Type-C webcam ports. Zato CONNECT can record HDMI video up to 1080p60 and USB video up to 1080p30. A 3.5mm audio input allows a microphone or line source to be inserted. AtomOS Lite software further customises recordings and sequences with effects and framing guides to reinforce branding. The device can be powered by an L-type battery or via the USB Type-C input.
The power of Camera to Cloud
Every day, production teams use Adobe Camera to Cloud (C2C), powered by Frame.io, to share footage from the shoot with remote team members. C2C is the fastest, easiest and most secure way to share media and collaborate in real time. It creates a direct path from production to post-production teams.
Content can be transferred from C2C certified devices over standard network connections to the cloud from anywhere for viewing, approval and editing. Zato CONNECT opens up C2C workflows to a significantly wider range of digital cinema, mirrorless and DSLR cameras, enabling more filmmakers than ever to participate in cloud-based workflows and experience the future of production.
All in one
Zato CONNECT allows you to stream almost any HDMI or USB UVC source to Facebook, Twitch or YouTube, without the need for a PC or laptop. It can also turn HDMI-enabled cameras into high-quality webcam sources for Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom and other conferencing software via its universally compatible USB UVC output. Adobe Camera to Cloud (C2C) integration, developed by Frame.io, allows you to upload H.264 recordings directly to the cloud for real-time collaboration and approval workflow.
Easy to use
With its 5-inch (1000nit) SuperAtom IPS display, Atomos Lite provides an easy-to-use touchscreen user experience for first-time Atomos users. It comes equipped with a selection of intuitive tools in familiar places, so even advanced users feel comfortable when diving into the world of Atomos Cloud Studio-enabled workflows. Live streaming and high-quality video conferencing are easy and accessible with Zato CONNECT.
Streaming from anywhere
Connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi 5 or Ethernet (via USB-C adapter) through your home/work network or mobile hotspot. Zato CONNECT is an ideal solution for live streaming in the field, in the studio or wherever you travel. It can be mounted right on top of a DSLR or mirrorless camera, but is equally at home next to a multi-input mixer such as our AtomX CAST or a game console for a completely computer-free streaming workflow. It can be powered for hours on a single NP-F battery or by mains power via USB-C PD.
Streaming made simple
Anyone can set up a live stream with Atomos Cloud Studio and create high-value video content with the easy-to-use Zato CONNECT. The touch screen can be used to monitor HDMI and webcam sources, apply Picture-in-Picture as well as graphic overlays. Enhancing the production value of your live broadcasts has never been easier.
Although incredibly compact, the Zato CONNECT has input and output ports for both HDMI and USB UVC and can transform the output of a wide range of video equipment into a live stream or webcam source. With a 3.5mm audio jack for microphone or line inputs, the Zato CONNECT also allows audio monitoring through its dedicated headphone output.
Your mixer's new best friend
Using Zato CONNECT as a portable programme monitor and streaming encoder makes it the new best friend of your multi-input mixer. Gone are the days of having to carry a heavy laptop to every gig, as Zato can perform many of its tasks in a much smaller size. It fits in any camera bag and is super lightweight at only 245g.
Recording and streaming
Any HDMI or webcam input, as well as a backup of the live stream or presentation in progress, can be recorded to an SD card using the popular H.264 codec. With the ability to combine pre-recorded sources with live content, it is possible to take one of these recordings and broadcast the content "as live". This opens up many creative opportunities and adds value to any broadcast or video presentation.
Get your audio into the mix
Zato CONNECT includes a powerful audio mixer, so you can combine analogue mic/line sources with digital audio from HDMI or USB UVC devices, as well as playback audio from SD card recordings, on a single stereo track. The volume of each channel can be independently adjusted and monitored via its dedicated headphone output to ensure that the audio mix of your broadcast or presentation is always on point.
Zato CONNECT supports Picture-in-Picture (PiP) with easy-to-use presets, but also gives you all the controls you need to make on-the-fly adjustments to your PiP configuration, including PiP size, PiP position and a PiP source selector.
