Designed for industrial, corporate, security, broadcast, and professional AV applications, the AJA RovoCam is a compact block camera that uses HDBaseT signal to transport uncompressed UltraHD/HD video, audio, control and power over Cat 5e/6 cable for distances up to 100m. The RovoCam simplifies camera installation, configuration and space requirements.
The RovoCam uses a Sony camera module, with 1/2.3" 8.93MP backlit sensor and Sony image processor, which combined, support UHD video at 25/29.97fps and 1080p at 50/59.94fps. It has a Sony 12x optical zoom lens and an intelligent zoom up to 20x, which can be controlled remotely via Sony's VISCA protocol. When no power or RS232 is supplied via HDBaseT, the camera has 3.5mm power and RS-232 connections, as well as 3.5mm audio input.

There are two complementary receivers to choose from:
Both units provide PoH (Power over HDBaseT) to power the RovoCam camera remotely. Each connects to RovoControl, a powerful control software for Mac and PC, offering full control of RovoCam's many advanced features.
The high quality of images generated by the RovoCam starts with Sony's advanced lens, featuring 12x optical zoom and up to 20x electronic zoom, employing Sony's Super Zoom Resolution technology, with auto or manual focus capability. All easily controlled remotely via Sony's VISCA protocol.
The RovoCam is built around a Sony 4K camera module (Sony FCB-ER8300) featuring a back-illuminated CMOS sensor and Sony's image processing for excellent performance.
What sets RovoCam apart from other cameras in its class is the integrated HDBaseT interface, which supports uncompressed video, power, stereo audio and RS-232 control over a single Cat 5e/6 cable, up to 100 metres long.

RovoControl is AJA's free software for macOS, Windows and Linux, designed to be a simple application to control one or multiple RovoCams, offering easy control of all major camera features such as zoom, iris and focus. RovoControl offers electronic PTZ control to move a 1080p HD crop within the UltraHD frame, allowing Pan, Tilt and Zoom on the HD output.
