Real-time video capture is critical for classroom recording, distance learning and medical environments. The Datapath VisionLC-HD capture card provides 4K HDMI capture for use in these applications. The Datapath LiveStream Capture architecture enables real-time processing and delivery of captured video to a processor or graphics card. The VisionLC-HD enables colour space conversion and scaling, while providing the ability to efficiently transfer the video signal in a format suitable for interpreting or encoding applications.
The Datapath VisionLC-HD offers broad compatibility with native support for 32-bit, 24-bit, 16-bit and 12-bit YUV and RGB computer video formats, while cards from other manufacturers only work in one or the other colour space, without the ability to convert between them.
Multi-application capture
The VisionLC-HD capture card has been designed for use in applications such as:
- Medical environments where colour fidelity and detail capture are critical.
- Flight simulation systems or others where fast processing is a must
- Live events
- Desktop and video game console capture.
- Classroom and presentation capture
Real-time streaming
Due to the low resources consumption, it is possible to install more than one card in the system, in order to obtain multiple capture channels. Because of the nature of the LiveStream Capture architecture, the VisionLC-HD card is not compatible with video wall controller applications that rely on Datapath's MultiStream technology.
Video Streaming
Based on Microsoft's AV streaming model, VisionLC-HD inputs can be accessed from any DirectShow or Media Foundation compatible application. The Linux driver package (V4L) is also available for download. Tested applications include, but are not limited to:
- Microsoft Media Encoder
- VLC
- Telestream WireCast
- vMix
- Opencast Matterhorn
- VidBlaster
- OBS Project
- Adobe Flash Media Encoder
- Dataton Watchout
