Sound Devices 833 is a professional mixer with an integrated multitrack recorder from the Sound Devices 8 Series. It is a lightweight and compact device aimed at small to medium-sized productions. The 833 features 6 mic/line preamps, 8 channels, 12 tracks, 6 analogue outputs and CT. It features a 320×240 LCD screen, 2 SD card slots and a 256 GB SSD internal disk for simultaneous recording.
The 883 multitrack recorder is fully routable, that is, any physical input can be routed to any track. In addition, custom mixes can be sent to, for example, a camera or a computer via one of its 6 busses. It also offers a three-band pre and post fader EQ per channel, which allows you to solve any frequency problems during recording. If you are in a noisy environment you can use NoiseAssist or CEDAR sdnx noise suppression plug-in to suppress background noise (not included).
This portable recorder from Sound Devices can be powered by its TA4 power supply or Sony Li-Ion batteries (not included) for total independence, as it has two L-mount slots.
The integrated Bluetooth antenna allows the mixer to be controlled wirelessly from the SD-Remote app (for Android devices), which includes transport and metering controls. USB ports - A and C also provide communication between the mixer and the app.
The Sound Devices 833 is compatible with the
SL-2 wireless receiver integration system, which is easy to mount on top of the unit.
