The Atomos Shinobi 7 is a 7" camera monitor featuring a 1920x1200 native resolution 10-bit IPS FRC 10-bit display with 2200cd/m² brightness, making it suitable for use both on location and in the studio. This larger model improves on the original Shinobi by adding 3G-SDI input and loop-through to 2K60, HDMI 2.0 input and loop-through to 4K60, signal cross-conversion, a camera control port, two L-type battery slots and future expansion possibilities with its integrated USB and RJ45 ports.
The touchscreen Shinobi 7 runs the latest AtomOS firmware, which includes various on-screen signal analysis tools such as multiscope, exposure, framing, focus assist, waveform, RGB parade and histogram views. It also features an SD card slot, for loading custom 3D LUTs, and supports SDR and HDR display. AtomHDR display technology allows you to accurately monitor your log gamma sequences without having to view flat, washed-out images, or use a LUT to compress the dynamic range and colour space. The monitor supports the most common recording formats from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED and JVC cameras.
The Shinobi 7 allows camera control via its 2.5mm control port and optional cables, and currently supports control of the Z CAM E2 series of cinema cameras. Built to withstand the rigours of any production, the Atomos Shinobi 7 features a lightweight chassis and is powered by two L-type batteries or via the included power adapter.
