Roland SR-20HD Audio and Video Streaming Mixer

For the beginner or experienced streaming operator, the Roland SR-20HD supports switching of up to three video inputs, two HDMI and one USB, supporting HD video and computer frame rates along with eight channels of input audio, allowing you to switch and mix your live show while transmitting two simultaneous streams. The built-in 4.3" LCD monitor displays the input and provides vital information about your programme.

The SR-20HD supports a variety of video effects, including Picture-in-Picture, Split, Picture-by-Picture, and supports Luminance and Chroma Keys, as well as Black Fade and Mix Fade transitions. In addition to two HDMI outputs ( preview and program, for monitoring and display) and two simultaneous MP4 streams via the built-in Ethernet connector, you can record your stream to an optional SDXC media card for editing or playback at a later date.
 

Easy to use

The SR-20HD is suitable for users with different levels of experience, from beginner to advanced, as it combines an easy-to-use video switcher, audio mixer, preview screen, recorder/player and streaming encoder in a single unit, simplifying the process and reducing points of failure. 
 

UVC USB input

If you need to connect more sources, you can expand your possibilities with a Roland UVC video USB device. Several Roland A/V products are compatible, allowing you to send high-quality, uncompressed video and audio to the SR-20HD's USB video input. Some USB webcams and other third-party devices, which support uncompressed UVC output, may also be compatible.

The USB video input is only available when streaming in standard mode.
   

Connect and stream

Thanks to the two HDMI inputs, you can connect common video sources such as cameras, smartphones, tablets and computers with presentation software. There is also a USB video input for a Roland UVC device or a compatible webcam. In addition, a wide range of audio inputs are available for microphones, music players, electronic musical instruments and more. Once everything is connected, just connect to your network router and start streaming live with your team members, clients or students on Facebook, YouTube Live, Twitch or via RTMP to a CDN.
   

Secure and reliable operation

Loaded with advanced Roland A/V technologies, the SR-20HD reduces the need for technical support and experienced staff. Automatic functions run in the background to eliminate dropped streams and help protect your organisation from inappropriate content. And because all streaming tasks are handled within the SR-20HD, there is no risk of malware or other computer streaming issues on the corporate network.
 

Adaptive Bitrate

The SR-20HD's unique Adaptive Bitrate feature monitors the quality of the network connection and automatically adjusts the bitrate to reduce interruptions due to bandwidth issues.
 

Streaming via mobile phone

A mobile phone with a 4G or 5G data plan can be used as the primary streaming connection or as a redundant backup. In case something happens to the main wired network connection, the SR-20HD will automatically switch to the connecting mobile phone via USB.
  

Security Delay

With the SR-20HD, you can confidently broadcast unscripted events and prevent offensive content from being broadcast to your audience. The safety delay function stores up to 60 seconds of video and audio, allowing you to switch to a still image or mute the sound if something goes wrong.
  

Dual Streaming Destination

Encode and broadcast live streams to two independent channels at once, to reach a wider audience or create a backup for archiving or distribution at a later date.
 

Panel Lock

Panel lock prevents users from accidentally changing settings that could disrupt a broadcast. You can disable access to a wide range of hardware controls and menu parameters individually, leaving only the essential functions needed for live broadcasting.
  

Simplified recording and playback

The built-in recorder of the SR-20HD allows H.264 MP4 video to be captured to an SDXC card for later editing or uploading to YouTube or company intranets. In addition, stereo WAV audio can be captured independently for podcasts and other audio media. Video clips, images and audio files stored on the SDXC card can also be accessed to add production value to your presentations.
 

Advanced audio control

The SR-20HD covers the diverse audio needs of individual presenters, conference panels and even musical performances. Inputs for up to four professional XLR microphones, line-level signals and a headset microphone offer multiple ways to connect all common analogue sources. You can also mix digital audio from HDMI and USB sources, plus audio from video and music files stored on an SDXC card.

Make quick volume level adjustments for individual sources using the dedicated faders and knobs, and delve into EQ and dynamics processing via the preview screen and F1-F4 encoders. It also features five user-assignable function buttons to streamline your workflow, providing quick access to auto-mixing, audio/video playback, F1-F4 functions and more.

Automatic mixing

The auto-mixing feature ensures that the mix between connected microphones remains balanced. You can set specific inputs to take priority when someone starts speaking, and other audio levels are automatically reduced as needed.
 

Audio-Video Tracking

The SR-20HD makes it easy to broadcast with multiple presenters. With the Audio Follows Video function, the corresponding audio automatically follows when switching to a different video source. Conversely, the Video Follows Audio feature switches the video depending on who is currently speaking.
  

Scene Memory

With scenes in the SR-20HD, it's easy to bring professional production values to your streams by performing complex switching functions all at once. Set up and store five layered source presets and display them in customisable insert windows. Then use dedicated scene buttons to switch from one to another and keep your audience on their toes during the broadcast.
  

High-resolution streaming for live action

The SR-20HD's standard mode supports 1080p resolution at 30fps, providing excellent quality for most live streaming applications. But if you're streaming live sports or other fast-moving events, you can select High Quality mode to increase the frame rate to 60fps and reduce motion blur.

Note: The SR-20HD's USB video input and SDXC card functions are disabled in High Quality mode.
