HP Z4 G5 - High-performance Workstation

 

The HP Z4 G5 is powered by an Intel® Xeon® W3-2425 processor that delivers exceptional performance, with speeds up to 4.2 GHz thanks to Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. This processor has 15 MB L3 cache, 6 cores and 12 threads, making it ideal for intensive tasks. The RAM memory is 32 GB DDR5-4800 MHz ECC, distributed in 2 modules of 16 GB. This memory allows transfer speeds of up to 4800 MT/s and consists of 8 DIMMs in total. 

The system includes a 1TB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 TLC SSD PCIe® hard disk drive, providing fast read/write speeds. It also has an integrated SATA 6 Gb/s storage controller and supports RAID 0. In terms of internal drive bays, it offers flexibility with options including two NVMe™ M.2 SSDs, two 3.5-inch HDDs and two 9.5mm ODDs. One 3.5-inch, four M.2 PCIe® SSDs and three 3.5-inch HDDs can also be installed.

On the graphics card side, this tower features an NVIDIA RTX Quadro A2000 GPU designed with NVIDIA Ampere architecture, which accelerates graphics workflows and computing, achieving up to twice the performance. The system offers a wide range of expansion slots including 1 PCIe 5 x16, 2 PCIe 4 x16 and 2 PCIe 4 x4. This opens up a multitude of possibilities to expand the tower to include a video card, another graphics card, a multi-function card such as the Sonnet Mc Fiver or any other compatible card to add enhancements to this professional workstation from HP.

On the front, the premium version of the system offers 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® ports with 20 Gbps signal speed, 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A ports with 5 Gbps signal speed and 1 headphone/microphone combo. The basic version includes 4 USB Type-A ports with 5 Gbps data rate and 1 headphone/microphone combo.

On the rear, there is 1 RJ-45 port and 1 audio input/output. Wireless connectivity is supported by an Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX210 (2x2) wireless card and Bluetooth® 5.3, which supports Gigabit data rates.
