The free AJA MiniConfig control software allows 8 of the 16 channels of SDI embedded audio to be selected and passed to the HDMI output. It is also possible to delay the audio from 0 to 7 frames, for proper synchronisation with the video output. The two RCA audio output channels allow separate analogue audio to be used at the same time as the HDMI audio. The MiniConfig also provides detailed information about the input and output formats used, control all Hi5-Plus parameters and download firmware updates. It is Mac and PC compatible and interfaces with the converter via a USB connection between converter and computer.

Using a compatible HDMI monitor, it outputs a 30-bit deep color signal, offering the full range of colors available in a 3G/HD-SDI signal. The SD/HD-SDI Embedded Audio SD/HD-SDI is compatible with the HDMI output, allowing a single cable connection for audio and video. The AJA Hi5 provides 2 channels of RCA type audio output for separate audio monitoring, if required, it also provides an SD/HD-SDI loop output useful for connecting additional equipment or for "daisy-chaining" to multiple monitors from the same SD-HD-SDI source.

Hi5-Plus' 3G-SDI input enables very high quality signal representation through the HDMI output for use with RGB workflows.
Audio integration:
Supports up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio on the input and can be switched to 8 channels of embedded HDMI audio on the output with the ability to delay the audio from 0 to 7 frames for proper synchronization with the output video. The two analog audio output channels allow direct external monitoring without the need for separate audio de-embedding.
PsF to Progressive conversion:
HDMI monitors do not natively support PsF signals. Hi5-Plus converts incoming 1080PsF signals to 1080p. This progressive signal is compatible with HDMI monitors.
USB and Mini-Config support:
Mini-Config is free software from AJA that can be used with any USB-enabled AJA Mini-Converter. This software has a very intuitive graphical interface with extended information about current input and output formats.
