The Stardom SOHOTANK ST8-U6-B enclosure, is an advanced storage solution designed to deliver high capacity and performance in a variety of applications. It supports up to 8 3.5" and 2.5" HDDs or SSDs, both SAS (up to 12 Gbps) and SATA (up to 6 Gbps), up to 10TB configured in JBOD. This provides a total storage capacity of up to 80TB and independent access to each of the disks, facilitating simultaneous operations on the different volumes, without losing speed or performance. The Stardom SOHOTANK ST8-U6-B also features a cooling system, which includes two 8cm low noise fans capable of maintaining an optimal operating temperature, thus prolonging the life of the disks. Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, it features a data security system and MCU environmental monitoring system.

Capable of accommodating up to 8 individual drives, the ST8-U6-B employs a JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) configuration that allows each drive to be efficiently used and managed independently. It supports 2.5" or 3.5" hot-swappable SATA HDD/SSD drives, providing great convenience and flexibility in storage management. Integrated LED indicators in each drive bay provide real-time information on the status and performance of each drive, facilitating monitoring and early detection of potential problems.
The ST8-U6-B prioritises data security through an enhanced tray locking mechanism, which protects the drives against unauthorised access or tampering. In addition, it incorporates an MCU (Microcontroller Unit) environmental monitoring system that effectively monitors the device's operating environment, alerting users to any anomalies or potential problems with an audible alert. The MCU system actively manages the internal temperature. When it reaches 50°C (118°F), the 8cm fans run at full blast. Once the temperature drops to 45°C, users can adjust a rear switch that allows the MCU to halve the fan speed, reducing noise and power consumption.
Built in a lightweight yet robust aluminium housing, the Stardom SOHOTANK ST8-U6-B ensures longevity without adding unnecessary weight, making it easy to transport and handle. The integrated 250 watt power supply ensures constant and stable performance, even under intensive workloads. In addition, the efficient cooling system, which includes low-noise fans, ensures optimal heat dissipation, prolonging the lifespan of the drives and maintaining optimum performance.
