SON-GPU-750WEX-TB3

Sonnet's eGPU Breakaway Box 750ex card expansion system boosts the graphics performance of your eGPU-enabled computer by connecting a high-performance GPU card to your computer via a single cable. The Breakaway Box's x16 PCIe 3.0 slot supports full-length, double-wide cards. Its 40Gbps single-port Thunderbolt interface ensures that the full 2800MB/s PCIe bandwidth is dedicated to the installed card. Its large variable-speed fan quietly and efficiently cools the installed card and ensures that the Breakaway Box eGPU can be used comfortably in noise-sensitive work environments. The Breakaway Box 750ex eGPU adds four 5Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports for connecting peripherals, plus a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port for a wired network connection.

PCIe Thunderbolt 3 to eGPU expansion chassis

The Sonnet eGPU BreakawayBox 750ex allows you to connect a high-performance graphics card to a compatible Thunderbolt3-equipped computer to work with post-production software, video editing, animation, colour grading, rendering and digital graphics compositing in a very agile way, speeding up your workflow. The included power supply is equivalent to the system power of 750W, allowing cards up to 475W to be installed and providing a laptop load of up to 87W. For extra power for the card to be installed, the chassis includes two 8-pin connectors (6+2 pins). The Breakaway Box's 40Gbps Thunderbolt3 port ensures a total PCIe bus bandwidth of 2,750MB/s dedicated to the installed card.

The eGPU Breakaway Box expansion chassis functions as a Plug-n-Play device, boosting the performance of any eGPU-compatible computer. It offers GPU compatibility for graphics-intensive applications, supporting all Thunderbolt-compatible cards and popular chipsets. In addition, the chassis is also compatible with large cards such as the AVID ProTools | HDX or the RED Rocket-X. You can see the compatible graphics cards here.

The Breakaway Box 750ex eGPU adds four 5Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports for connecting peripherals, plus a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port for a wired network connection. It features a dual Thunderbolt controller design, allowing it to support both peripherals and the GPU card through the single Thunderbolt connection to the computer.

Sonnet's Breakaway eGPU is the best ventilated and quietest eGPU chassis on the market, with a large variable speed fan controlled by temperature sensors that quietly and efficiently cools the installed card. The Breakaway Box can be comfortably used in noise-sensitive work environments and also supports liquid cooling systems.
