The SIGMA 20mm F1.4 DG HSM ART lens incorporates a 59mm diameter double aspherical lens to provide an ultra-wide-angle lens with a focal length of 20mm and F1.4 brightness. Designed for high-resolution digital cameras, this high-performance lens delivers exceptional resolution and razor-sharp images even at wide-open apertures. It is recommended for its focal length for outdoor photography, architecture and providing great wide shots that will give a distinct look to your production. In addition to capturing wide-angle shots with the entire scene in focus, you can take snapshots with the subject in focus and the background blurred with an attractive bokeh effect.
This lens is designed to reduce flare and ghosting thanks to the Super Multi Coating system it shares with the other ART series lenses. It also minimizes chromatic aberrations by using two FLD glass elements and five SLD glass elements to minimize transverse chromatic aberration. Its refractive and dispersion indices are extremely low compared to conventional glass, minimizing distortion throughout the image.
The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) offers smooth, high-speed AF and extremely quiet performance, contributing to the discreetness of the equipment, while its high torque ensures fast autofocus response. The MF manual focus mode allows you to make fine focus adjustments by simply turning the corresponding ring.
The brass metal mount combines high precision with robust construction. Its treated surfaces and enhanced strength contribute to exceptional lens durability.
With the optional SIGMA USB DOCK, you can update the lens firmware and adjust the focus position and other settings. By connecting the lens to a computer via the SIGMA USB DOCK, SIGMA Optimization Pro software offers various types of settings and levels of customization.
