The new Samyang Xeen Meister 85mm T1.3 are ultra-bright 8k Full Frame prime lenses.
 
In order to satisfy the current professional needs of cinematographers and focus pullers, Samyang has built a premium designed, robust and high quality lens.
 
The outstanding aperture of T1.3 gives this lens great versatility, allowing to record with great image quality and clarity in both optimal lighting conditions and in less illuminated environments. The blur it provides at its maximum aperture defocus the background for dramatic results in which the subject's prominence is enhanced. Combined with its improved 13-blade aperture, compared to the 11 blades of the previous series, it provides an excellent bokeh effect. 
 
The SAMYANG XEEN MEISTER lenses feature a 43.2mm image circle, which allows capturing images up to 8K and are compatible with existing large sensor cameras. With a rugged metal construction and an aluminum lens front to ensure durability, the Meister series is an option to be considered for the most demanding video and film productions.
 
The complete series includes models with PL, Sony E or Canon EF mount.
 
Thanks to the X-coating lens technology, Samyang offers greater aesthetic control over the final images and homogeneous color throughout the range. Control over internal reflections, flares and ghosting gives cinematographers the ability to achieve a distinctive cinematic style.
 
In order to offer professional focusing solutions, Samyang has implemented a number of improvements to the focus rings. Extending the focus rotation range by 100° to 300° enables smooth and accurate focus shifting. Two focus and iris scales on both sides of the lens, treated to be visible in dark environments, facilitate the work of the focus puller.
 
To speed up production, the Meister series shares the same 114mm front diameter as the rest of the range, which makes it easy to interchange lenses. The focus and iris rings are at the same distance throughout the series, which means that accessories such as the Matte Box or Follow Focus can be left unchanged when changing focal length.
 
Thanks to the Cooke/i technology of the XEEN Meister 85mm T1.3 with PL mount, detailed recording data from the lens such as focal length, aperture and frame rate are automatically and digitally registered.
