We have designed a pack of two anamorphic lenses Laowa Proteus 2X Anamorphic in 35mm and 60mm, it is a pack in which there is a 35mm and a 60mm. They are two lenses that are perfectly matched not only for their focal length, which are complementary, but also for their filter diameter. In both lenses is 105mm and this provides a huge versatility when it comes to interchange filters, filter holders and other accessories added to the lens.

The two Laowa Proteus 2X Anamorphic lenses in 35mm and 60mm feature a 2x anamorphic compression ratio, silver and amber flare and are available with ARRI PL and Canon EF mounts.

With a 2X compression ratio, you'll have 2.66:1 on a 4:3 sensor and 2.4:1 on a 6:5 sensor after compression. It provides room to crop to a golden aspect ratio of 2.39:1. The 2X compression ratio produces an ultra-wide screen cinematic look that is highly desired by the film industry.

The maximum aperture of the diaphragm on the 35 and 60mm is the same, T2, up to T22 can be closed down so the versatility of use is amazing. Being a large aperture is a great advantage when working indoors in low light conditions or when for creative reasons you have to work in low light. Also, a large aperture will give the opportunity to create scenes with shallow depth of field where you want to isolate the subject from the background.

The lenses feature an optical construction of 17 elements in 13 groups in the case of the 60mm and 17 elements in 14 groups in the 35mm. Both lenses are made for Super35 sensors so there is a wide variety of cameras that can use them.
