SWIT PB-S220A battery is made of 24 high quality 18650 cells, with a nominal voltage of 14.4V, it achieves a high capacity of 220Wh/15.3Ah. It can run for approximately 7 hours on normal ENG cameras and approximately 2.5 hours on the ARRI Alexa.
PB-S series of camera batteries is designed with a compact square shape, smaller than the usual V/Gold batteries and is the perfect complement to most film cameras.
It is provided with 4 DC output sockets for D-tap connection, which can power other equipment in the chamber at the same time. The maximum output current of D-tap is 10A, 120W. It also has 1 USB 5V/2A output port, which can be used to charge mobile phones, tablets and other portable devices.
PB-S220A battery innovative built-in information display shows digital power information. LCD screen accurately displays the remaining run time, percentage of remaining power, remaining working time, low power warning and the number of battery charge cycles, as well as the information on the Sony and RED cameras display. LCD display also informs via alarm codes of possible errors and protection warnings for overload, low power, short circuit, over voltage and high temperature.
Normal lithium-ion batteries offer an output of 100W / 8A and are suitable for most ENG cameras, but Cine cameras such as ALEXA require 85W of power consumption, which is too heavy for normal lithium-ion batteries, which is why the battery life will be reduced if powered long term. To avoid this, there are batteries such as the PB-S220A, which are large capacity batteries that allow powering high drain cameras without compromising battery life.
PB-S220A supports 6A fast charging via SWIT S-3812 fast charger to save more than 50% of charging time. The 220Wh PB-S220A battery can be charged from 0 to 80% after 2.3 hours, and full charged in 3.5 hours.
