Battery type Panasonic VW-VBD58 and AG-VBR59. Compatible with Panasonic AG-DVX200, AJ-PX270/285, AU-EVA1, AG-UX180, etc. With a nominal voltage of 7.2V, the S-8D98 has a capacity of 70Wh / 9.8Ah, and can operate for approximately 3 hours with AJ-PX270 series camcorders with the LCD monitor on.
It has a 5.5/2.1mm polarized DC output on the battery side to provide 7.2V DC power (nominal). You can connect the camera's LED torch, monitor, or wireless transmitter and get power simultaneously with the camera. The maximum power is 30W/4A. The Pole-tap connector can also be used as a charge input when using the SWIT S-3010D portable charger.
It also has a 5V/1A USB connection for use as a charger for your smartphone or tablet. When you press the "Check" button, the S-8D98 battery will send output voltage through the USB 5V/1A connector to be able to charge your devices.
The S-8D98 battery has 4-level power LEDs to check the remaining battery capacity. You can get a quick view of capacity before you use it. The S-8D98 can be charged with the original Panasonic DE-A88 charger and the S-3602D dual SWIT charger. It takes approximately 6 hours to charge from vacuum to 100%. You can also use the SWIT S-3010D portable charger for the S-8D98 and it will take 9.5 hours to fully charge.
