Among the main features of the MixPre-6 II recorder are its adjustable limiters that help prevent distortion and saturation of the audio signal, gain control, panning, high-pass filtering, phase inversion, and the possibility of Phantom power. With a bitrate of up to 32 bits and a sampling frequency of 44.1 to 192 kHz, this Sound Devices multitrack recorder offers exceptional audio quality. It includes an internal timecode generator and TC input/output via its auxiliary stereo input/output. Additionally, it is an easy to operate device, as it incorporates a 4,3" touch screen and a powerful headphone amplifier of 300 mW + 300 mW, allowing for clear and precise reference.
MixPre-6 II can be powered by Sony-L type batteries, AA batteries with the corresponding adapter (not included), or by using an external power source.
This Sound Devices recorder has a 10 second pre-roll buffer and is customizable with plugins such as the Noise Assist Plugin (available in Plugin Store). Its USB-A connection makes it compatible with external control surfaces and keyboards of the same brand.
