The system includes a single-channel receiver and an SLXD1 bodypack transmitter with a WL185 omnidirectional lavalier microphone. The receiver can be mounted on a camera shoe or used in an audio bag. It features two 3.5 mm outputs: one for headphone monitoring and another switchable between line and mic level, with up to 5.5 hours of battery life.
The SLXD1 bodypack transmitter is equipped with a TQG connector, compatible with a wide range of lavalier microphones. This set comes with the WL185 omnidirectional microphone. The bodypack also includes a belt clip and an LCD display showing essential information. Additionally, it provides a microphone offset function with up to +21 dB gain to boost low-volume speech, and a 150 Hz high-pass filter to reduce unwanted low frequencies.
The Shure SLXD15/W85 offers a latency of only 3.2 ms. Its Multi-Mic mode scans and generates a list of available clean frequencies that can be transferred to multiple receivers via infrared sync. Both the transmitter and receiver can be paired at the touch of a single button, retaining preset configurations such as gain and high-pass filter. The system provides a transmission range of up to 100 meters under optimal conditions and up to 8 hours of operation using two AA batteries or an SB903 rechargeable battery.
