The Miller ArrowX 1 Sprinter II 2 Stage Alloy system combines two outstanding Miller products with the intention of being a versatile and indispensable tool for all types of audio-visual shoots. Its thoughtful design allows the rig to deploy in seconds, balance the weight of the rig intuitively and withstand the demanding rhythms of the production.
Its 1580G tripod is made of aluminium alloy, which is compactly integrated into the 100mm base of die-cast alloy to provide a solid and sturdy assembly.
The Miller-exclusive upper and lower leg locking system features adjacent locking levers to allow joint or independent deployment of the two legs, which have a height range of 602 to 1,692mm. This innovative mechanism is intentionally positioned high enough off the ground to prevent the operator from having to bend down to manipulate the tripod.
The ergonomic carrying handle is another example of the commitment that Miller has made to make the equipment agile and easy to operate in all types of environments.
The second component of this kit is the ArrowX 1 fluid head. A robust, long lasting head with high quality surface coatings, sealed against moisture and dust to cope with adverse conditions.
It has a wide payload range of 0 to 16kg providing an ideal support for ENG cameras, Mirrorless, small film equipment or sliders.
Miller has located the 5+0 tilt and pan friction settings controls, which bring great precision and smoothness to camera movements, and the 15+0 counterbalance settings, on the front of the fluid head for quick access and setup.
These counterbalance settings feature the exclusive Miller CB Plus technology. This technology consists of a uniquely designed counterbalance system with sequential adjustment that is able to effectively neutralise the effect of camera weight when the camera is tilted. Due to having a 0-setting, it is possible to balance very lightweight equipment.
The ArrowX 1 head features a bubble level and friction and tilt controls that can be illuminated for several seconds, facilitating correct handling in low light environments.
