The Sennheiser Profile Wireless is a unique and versatile microphone system that includes recording capabilities and a charging base that also functions as a handheld or desktop microphone.
This system offers a range of up to 245 meters in line-of-sight and consists of two omnidirectional clip-on microphones/transmitters, equipped with magnets for easy placement. Thanks to its 360º sound pickup, it maintains consistent audio levels even when the user is moving.
Each transmitter has an internal memory of 16GB, allowing up to 30 hours of recording in 24bit/48kHz quality. This ensures a backup in case of signal loss or interference between the transmitter and receiver. Recording can be activated locally on the microphones or remotely from the receiver.
The ultra-compact two-channel receiver can be mounted on a DSLR camera using the included cold shoe adapter or connected directly to a smartphone or computer with the Lightning and USB-C adapters. It also features a 3.5mm output for headphone monitoring. Its OLED touchscreen displays detailed information about audio levels and the battery life of each transmitter. Additionally, it includes a gyroscope that automatically rotates the screen 180º for easier viewing in any position.
The transmitters include 3.5mm input connectors, allowing the use of a wide range of Sennheiser lapel microphones, such as the ME 2. The set also includes windshields for the transmitters, improving recording quality in outdoor environments.
The transmitters and receiver have built-in rechargeable batteries providing up to 7 hours of autonomy. If one or both transmitters are placed in the charging bar, it can be used as a handheld microphone with recording, an ideal solution for interviews. It can also be used as a desktop microphone, as it includes a 1/4" thread at the bottom for mounting on desk stands. To improve audio quality, it also includes a windscreen.
