Tascam Model 16 is a compact mixer designed to meet the needs of musicians, multimedia content creators, composers, and performers. With 14 input channels and a built-in multitrack recorder, this mixer allows you to record up to 16 tracks (14 input channels + stereo mix) directly onto an SD card without the need for a computer. The recording and playback format is PCM (WAV at 44.1/48 kHz, 16/24 Bit).
Despite its compact size, this Tascam mixer includes 12 combo XLR/TRS input channels with +48V Phantom power, 2 additional RCA line inputs, a 3.5mm (½") TRRS input for smartphones and a Bluetooth 5.0 input. The first two channels also offer insert points for integrating external sound processors, a 3-band equalizer and effects. Selectable PFL/AFL modes allow for flexible monitoring of individual channels, simplifying the mixing process. Additionally, the headphone jack located on the top panel allows for monitoring of the recording.
The Model 16 features Tascam´s Ultra HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) microphone preamplifiers, wich provide remarkably low noise levels and exceptional fidelity. In addition, all channels are equipped with Hi-Z line inputs for direct connection of guitars, basses and other instruments.
In the effects section built into this Tascam mixer, you´ll find 16 essential effects, such as reverb, chorus or delay with the latter being necessary for audio and video synchronization for both the USB and main output.
