Tascam Model 12 is a compact mixer designed to meet the needs of musicians, multimedia content creators, composers and performers. With 10 input channels and a built-in multitrack recorder, this mixer allows you to record up to 12 tracks (10 input channels + stereo mix) directly to an SD card without the need for a computer. the recording and playback format is PCM (WAV at 44.1/48 kHz, 16/24 Bit).
Despite its compact size, this Tascam mixer includes 8 combined XLR/TRS inputs with +48V Phantom power, 2 additional TRS line inputs, a 3.5mm TRRS inputs for smartphones, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The first two channels also offer insert points for integrating external sound processors. Each channel is equipped with a 60mm fader, a compresor, a 3-band equalizer and effects. Selectable PFL/AFL modes and Solo In Place (SIP) simplify individual channel monitoring. Additionally, dual headphone jacks on the top panel allow for dual monitoring.
The Model 12 includes Tascam´s Ultra HDDA (high Definition Discrete Architecture) microphone preamplifiers, which offer remarkably low noise levels and exceptional fidelity. Furthermore, all channels are equipped with Hi-Z line inputs for direct connection of guitars, basses, and other instruments.
In the effects section built into this Tascam mixer, essential effects such as reverb, chorus, and delay are available, with the latter being necessary for audio-video synchronization for both USB and main output. You can adjust the delay up to 2000ms in 1ms increments, allowing you to sync audio with virtually any camera or video mixer.
Thanks to is integrated USB Type-C connector, the Model 12 is ready to connect to your
DAW software for multi-rack recording and playblack, allowing you to forget about the mouse and hard to remember commands and mix your music as you would with a traditional mixing console. For comprehensive control of your DAW, Tascam uses HUI/MCU protocol emulation to provide complete control (please refer to the specifications for compatible DAWs). Additionally, it is equipped with
5-pin MIDI input and output ports that allow connection to a wide range of keyboards, drum machine, controllers and other devices that use MIDI.
