The Kiloview N50 is a bi-directional 12G-SDI/USB to NDI and viceversa converter that supports NDI|HX and encoding and decoding of SDI video signals up to 12G-SDI. A large scroll knob and color OLED display make it easy to view and adjust the operating parameters of this converter. Features such as PoE and DC power, PTZ control, 3.5mm audio line in/out, multi-channel audio and intercom functions make the Kiloview N50 converter an excellent choice for professional IP video transmission. In encoding mode, the N50 is capable of easily converting a 4K 12G-SDI video signal into an NDI or NDI|HX stream. In decode mode, it automatically adapts the NDI and NDI|HX format as required. The N50 encoder/decoder easily handles an NDI stream, with a low latency of less than 80ms.
Full-featured NDI and NDI|HX converter
The Kiloview N50 is a fully functional NDI converter, using the most advanced FPGA technologies, advanced AVC/HEVC compression algorithms and NDI protocol. It supports encoding and decoding in a single unit, which meets all your IP-based video transmission demands.
The N50 supports both high-bandwidth NDI and NDI|HX2/3 encoding or decoding in 12G-SDI format using H.264 or H.265.
Ultra-low latency encoding and decoding
In encoding mode, the N50 easily converts a 4K 12G-SDI video signal into NDI and NDI|HX stream. While in decode mode, it will automatically adapt the NDI and NDI|HX format according to your final needs. N50 easily handles your NDI stream with low latency of less than 80ms.
Professional-grade color performance
The Kiloview N50 supports a professional YCbCr 4:2:2 color space and 10-bit color depth (the more common 8-bit color depth is also available).
The N50 provides enhanced color and image quality to match the high standard of the broadcast and medical industries.
Integrated LCD display and scroll wheel
The Kiloview N50 NDI encoder and decoder is equipped with a large color LCD display, for checking the unit's parameters anytime, anywhere. It can also be used as a large Tally and works in conjunction with the smaller Tally on the rear panel, making it easy for all field personnel to check PVW or PGM status in real time.
The scroll wheel allows you to customize settings, power on/off, set quick shortcuts and control all video sources with great ease.
USB extension
The Kiloview N50 features USB 3.0 Type-A and USB 3.0 Type-C connection interfaces so that users can :
- Access a webcam via USB 3.0 Type-A as a video input source for encoding to NDI
- Connect to the PC via USB 3.0 Type-C as USB video input
- Control PTZ camera via USB expansion.
Users can gain unlimited possibilities with USB extensions by seamlessly bringing NDI technology to applications such as video conferencing, image processing and PTZ camera control.
Audio and Intercom
The N50 converter processes 12G-SDI embedded audio and encodes or decodes analog audio from the 3.5mm input/output.
It supports an extended USB audio interface (e.g., USB headset), for real-time end-to-end intercom between Kiloview device operators and the associated Kiloview Intercom System (KIS) group.
PTZ Control
The Kiloview N50 encoder supports PTZ control via USB to RS-232/RS-485/RS-422 serial.
It also supports network control protocols (such as Sony Visca/PELCO-D/PELCO-P) for external PTZ control.
Power supply: PoE and DC
The N50 has 2 Ethernet interfaces, one of which supports PoE (IEEE 802.3AT) power. Simply connect a network cable for easy access to both power and network transmission. It also supports 12V DC power and you can easily power the device with a portable charger or the camera battery.
TF Storage
The N50 offers a TF storage extension, which makes it easy to record encoded NDI video directly to a TF card (local recording supports MOV format).
TF storage prevents the recording process from losing video frames due to delays, interruptions or network fluctuations.
Centralized Management with Kilolink Server
The N50 offers the ability to connect to the KiloLink Server seamlessly, which optimizes media streaming through any Kiloview product, using any available network link.
The Kilolink Server helps to manage, monitor and control all Kiloview devices throughout the entire process.
Compatible with TriCaster, vMix, OBS and other commonly used tools.
