Decoder of a H.264 or H.265 video stream to HDMI 4K, for its connection to monitors, projectors, etc. The low-latency decoder supports a wide range of transmission protocols, making it ideal for applications that include: video distribution in multiple sites (between company campuses, educational centers or churches), remote production, surveillance monitoring or digital signage among others.
It supports, among others, the Full NDI or NDI|HX protocols and the open source SRT (Secure Reliable Transport). It allows the delivery of secure, reliable and very low latency video over any network. Other supported protocols include RTSP, HTTP, HLS, RTMP Pull/Push and MPEG-TS over UDP/SRT/RTP.
The Pro Convert NDI to HDMI decodes streams up to 4096x2160/60fps and outputs them via its HDMI 2.0 interface. The built-in, FPGA-based video processing allows the device to automatically convert broadcasts from HD or 2K sources to 4K for viewing on UltraHD displays. It is a plug-and-play decoder, which has a DHCP-based network configuration and can detect the video and audio characteristics of the target display device through EDID metadata, automatically optimizing the output parameters or providing the user with a range of compatible options. The device can be powered through an external adapter or through Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Users can specify the source URL of the video stream and control the advanced settings of the decoder through a browser-based interface, a wired or wireless keyboard or mouse, or by using two buttons on the device that manage an intuitive menu on the HDMI output. It supports eight channels of AAC or MP3 audio in the input stream, with user control of audio gain, sampling rate, channel selection and on-screen VU-meters. Additional integration features include image flipping for inverted projector installations, safe area controls, and aspect ratio conversion. The decoder can be paired with Magewell's intuitive Ultra Stream encoders or with third-party hardware or software encoders.
