Sigma has released a new lens in its Sports series. It is a Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS Sports that will soon be available for order. One of the most anticipated lenses for Sony E and L-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras in recent times, it boasts a brightness of F2.8 throughout its focal range. It also has an OS2 stabilizer and an HLA focusing motor for ultra-fast and quiet focusing.
This lens is currently under development and will go on sale next December. Although it belongs to the Sports Series, it can be used for film or advertising shoots and also for events or sports as its original line indicates.

Sigma is developing a telephoto lens that will be available in December with a focal length of 70-200mm with a fixed brightness of F2.8 continuous. The manufacturer is framing it within its Sports range, although due to its distance and aperture it could be used in any field, cinema or photography.
It is being designed for Sony E-mount and L-mount, so it will have great compatibility not only for Sony or Leica cameras but also the new Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K will be able to use it and obtain true cinematic images.
This lens with L-mount can also be used with a multitude of camera bodies using the various adapters that both Sigma and other manufacturers make.
