If you shoot with an 8K camera, why not record in 8K RAW format with the Atomos Ninja V+? The Ninja V+ is just like its predecessor the Ninja V, but the Ninja+ now records and plays back RAW video up to 8K on and from mini-SSDs.

The Ninja V+ can record in Apple ProRes RAW up to 8K30 or DCI 4K120 directly from the sensor and is compatible with select cameras such as the Canon R5. It includes H.265, for recording with this high quality, low bandwidth codec in 4:2:2 10 bit ProRes. It includes a 10-bit display with 1,000 cd/m² brightness, AtomHDR technology for accurate gamma monitoring, and supports recording formats from Sony, ARRI, Canon, JVC, Panasonic, Nikon, RED, Sony and Z CAM cameras. The Ninja V+ features an aluminum chassis and is powered by an L-series battery. It includes various on-screen tools for exposure analysis, framing, anamorphic squeeze and focus assist.

5" daylight visible display with AtomHDR

The Ninja V+ features a 5" IPS LCD display with 1000 cd/m² bright LED backlighting, which allows working in daylight without the need for a hood. In addition, the display is color factory-calibrated to ensure accurate image representation.

• With AtomHDR, the 5" display of the Ninja V+ shows more than ten steps of image dynamic range of the camera record.
• 1920x1080 display with 1000 cd/m² brightness for daylight viewing.
• 10-bit color processing and user calibration

Recording codecs including Raw over HDMI

• Records Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW with select cameras, at rates up to 8K30 and up to DCI 4K120

8K30 and 4K120 capabilities

Record 8K30 or DCI/UHD 4K in ProRes RAW at speeds up to 120fps, including 24 and 25fps, for a more cinematic aesthetic. All recordings are stored as high-quality Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR files, with 10-bit 4:2:2 chroma sampling. It offers various bit rates to suit the project and storage needs.

 
SSD recording

Record to standard 2.5" SSDs or compact AtomX SSDmini drives, which offer up to 2TB of storage. SSDmini drives offer read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s, capturing up to 150 minutes of 4K video on a 1TB drive.

 
User calibration

It is possible to calibrate the Ninja V+ using the separately available X-Rite i1 Display Pro probe to maintain optimal color accuracy.

 
Anamorphic decompression

The Ninja V+ supports anamorphic decompression, allowing you to comfortably view anamorphic material at 2x, 1.5x, 1.33x or Panasonic 8:3 aspect ratios.

 
Selectable markers

A wide variety of framing lines and safety areas are available including standard versions and 1:1, 4:5, 1:91:1 and 9:16 options.

 
Game Capture

The Ninja V+ provides a simple solution for 4K UHD, HDR and high frame rate game capture and review.

 
Audio input/output

In addition to the embedded audio input/output via HDMI, there is also the ability to record external audio via the 3.5mm line/mic input jack. There is also a 3.5mm headphone audio output for convenient audio monitoring.
