The Areca ARC-1886-4N8i is a hardware RAID controller designed to handle hybrid storage in servers and data centers demanding maximum speed. It is compatible with multiple protocols: NVMe, 12 Gb/s SAS, and SATA, allowing flexible integration of the latest NVMe SSDs and SAS/SATA drives.
 
It includes 4 external ports and eight internal ports, featuring Mini-SAS HD connectors. Its twelve total ports make it ideal for systems that require connecting external expansion enclosures (JBOD/RAID) while simultaneously controlling a large number of drives within the chassis. It ensures data protection by supporting all major RAID levels and is equipped with DDR4 ECC cache to guarantee data integrity and operational efficiency.
