KVM Extender with HDMI 1.4a 4K connection over IP, brings together a combination of features and technologies that offer the ability to extend computers to consoles both inside and outside your IT infrastructure. It allows access to a computer system from a remote USB console from anywhere on an intranet. It also supports an HDMI monitor at each end, and offers a highly optimized video image with 4K video resolution (up to 3840 x 2160). It also supports SFP fiber module expansions to 1 Gbps, offering connections via a fiber optic network to extend transmission distances.

It consists of a transmission unit that connects to the computer, and a reception unit that allows access to the console from a remote location. Access to the computer is from the remote console via a TCP/IP network connected via a Cat5e/6 cable that allows point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, point-topoint, and point-to-multipoint management. It can be connected to another model in the same direct way, through a high speed network, through a copper or fiber LAN. When implementing KE Matrix Management Software (CCKM), IT administrators will have advanced features, such as automatic detection of all KE Series extenders in the same subnet, to accelerate installation, configuration, authentication, and username and password authorization, and the ability to define different types of connections that can be switched and shared. In addition, security features provide additional protection by supporting AES encryption to protect data transmissions, while user authentication via RADIUS, LDAP, AD, or remote provides an additional level of connection security.
