High quality video capture is critical in applications such as classroom recording, distance learning, simulators, and hospital or surgical medical environments. The Datapath VisionLC-HD2 provides HDMI capture for use in these types of applications.
The Datapath LiveStream Capture architecture allows real-time processing and delivery of captured video to a processor or graphics card. The VisionLC-HD2 Capture allows for colour space conversion and signal scaling, while providing the ability to efficiently transfer the video signal in a format suitable for decoding or encoding in multiple applications.
The VisionLC-HD2 natively supports both the 32-bit, 24-bit, 16-bit and 12-bit RGB and YUV formats.
Multi-application capture
The VisionLC-HD2 capture card is designed for use in applications such as:
- Medical and surgical environments where colour accuracy and detail fidelity are critical.
- Simulation systems where high speed processing is imperative
- Live events
- Desktop and game console capture
- Classroom and presentation capture
- Real-time streaming
It is also possible to install more than one card in the system for multiple capture channels.
Due to the nature of the LiveStream Capture architecture, the VisionLC-HD2 is not compatible with wall controller applications that rely on the Datapath MultiStream technology.
Video Streaming
Based on the Microsoft AV streaming model, VisionLC-HD2 inputs can be accessed in any DirectShow or Media Foundation compatible application. Video is also available for download for the Linux driver package (V4L).
