Fujifilm has created this new Fujifilm GF45mm F2.8 R WR for the GFX system. It is valid for their entire range of cameras (GFX100 II, GFX100, GFX100S, GFX50S II, GFX50S and GFX50 R). It is a 36mm equivalent wide-angle full-frame G-mount lens that offers a wide field of view in a compact form factor.
The Fujifilm GF45mm F2.8 R WR offers a sophisticated optical design incorporating 11 elements in 8 groups with a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements that offer high image quality and reduced aberrations helping to achieve a high degree of clarity, colour accuracy and sharpness. A Nano GI coating has also been applied to individual elements to suppress flare and ghosting in the lens for higher contrast and colour accuracy. This lens has an inner focusing mechanism that offers fast autofocus performance, maintains the full length of the lens during operation and also produces consistent optical performance throughout the focusing range.
The GF45mm F2.8 R WR has a compact design, weighing just 490g and 88mm long, providing excellent portability. The aperture ring has a C (command dial mode) position on the camera body that allows the aperture value of the lens to be changed so that the operator can adjust it to suit their preference. A locking mechanism has been added to the A (Auto) and C positions to prevent unintentional movement of the aperture dial.
