Exceptional image quality

The CG319X convinces with the highest resolution (4096x2160 (4K DCI)), a very good contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a maximum brightness of 350cd/m². This makes it possible, for example, to edit graphics and images with pixel precision. In addition, text outlines are clear and precise. The LCD module with dual-layer IPS (Wide Gamut) panel (Wide Gamut, 10 Bit) enables a wide viewing angle. This means that color tones and contrasts remain stable in the user's viewing cone.

Wide Gamut

Wide Gamut monitors, such as the CG319X, reliably reproduce 98% of the DCI-P3 standard used in digital cinema and is also Rec.2020 compliant.

In addition, the CG319X covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. If images shot in RAW format are converted to AdobeRGB, the monitor displays them with absolute color fidelity. The EIZO monitor also offers great advantages for printing: It covers almost the entire CMYK color space (e.g. ISO Coated and U.S. Web Coated). You can already see on the screen what the subsequent print result will look like and save proofs.

HDR gamma support

The CG319X meets the standards required for viewing and editing HDR (high dynamic range) content with HLG and PQ tonal value curves. These are close to natural, human color perception, thanks to optimized gamma curves. Production and post-production professionals can rely on the reliability of the display, with HDR tonal curves for editing and color grading.

True Black

With its high contrast ratio, the CG319X displays deep blacks, which often appear pale or washed out on a typical LCD monitor due to backlighting. This is especially true when viewing the monitor from the side in dimly lit rooms. The CG series is equipped with a retarder film for this purpose, which enables this depth of black tones even at wide viewing angles.

Integrated sensor for self-calibration

With the integrated calibration sensor you achieve maximum color accuracy. The sensor adapts perfectly to the monitor, takes environmental influences such as light into account and correlates the center and edge of the image. This ensures a uniform result across the entire monitor.

The sensor is located in the housing frame and is only extended for the measurement. Therefore, no external calibration device is required and the color accuracy of the monitor is optimal at all times.

The CG319X is equipped with the latest sensor technology, which allows recalibration during operation. This allows you to continue working with non-color-critical applications while the monitor is being calibrated. The sensor only occupies a small space on the screen during calibration and therefore does not interfere. Calibration can also be performed fully automatically at definable times, even if the computer is turned off or not connected to the monitor at all.

EIZO software for quick calibration and printing

Good image processing is only successful on well-calibrated monitors. The usual software calibration is time-consuming and requires user experience. The CG319X is delivered with the ColorNavigator hardware calibration software. It can be carried out in a few steps even by users without in-depth knowledge. Advanced users can specify brightness, gamma and white point and other calibration settings numerically as target values. Since calibration is performed via the monitor hardware, it is lossless and independent of the computer and graphics card. The CG319X fits perfectly into an existing system.

The free Quick Color Match software helps users see on the monitor how their images will look when printed on their Canon or Epson inkjet printer at home, even without in-depth knowledge of color management. In this way, images can be optimized for the special properties of the selected photo paper before printing and costly printing errors are avoided.

Smooth transitions and gradients thanks to 24-bit LUT and 10-bit mode

Thanks to a 10-bit color display based on a 24-bit LUT, you can utilize a huge color spectrum. This is made possible by fast DisplayPort and HDMI connections together with frame rate control. One billion colors are available to you simultaneously. That is 64 times more colors than with an 8-bit display. Color gradations are finer and color distances between neighboring colors are smaller. Also important for post-production: the extended grayscale range. With the 10-bit grayscale range activated, 6% to 14% more grayscales are visible.

Out of the factory ready to work

To ensure that an Eizo ColorEdge is ready for use right out of the box, each CG319X is individually calibrated and optimally adjusted at the factory. To do this, the gamma curves of the red, green and blue channels are thoroughly checked and, if necessary, corrected. This unique EIZO factory calibration allows the user to operate the monitor with the preset color spaces right out of the box. This elaborate factory calibration is also the reason why recalibration with ColorNavigator by the user is so fast.

Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE)

Each individual monitor panel is accurately measured across its entire surface at the EIZO factory. Any inhomogeneities in brightness and color shades are detected and eliminated. This process (Digital Uniformity Equalizer, or DUE) ensures that identical colors always look the same throughout the lifetime of the monitor, regardless of where they are displayed. This is the only way to accurately edit and retouch images.

Stable color reproduction in only three minutes

With a conventional monitor, it takes at least 30 minutes for brightness, color type and tonal values to stabilize. In contrast, the Eizo CG319X ColorEdge takes only three minutes, so users can rely on reliable colors soon after turning on the monitor.

Accurate color reproduction thanks to high-resolution 3D LUTs

3D LUTs ensure the most precise tonal value assignment and an extremely accurate reproduction of color tones, which can be seen, among other things, in the gray ramp. In LCD displays, the brightness levels vary from module to module depending on the image signal and the mixing (addition) of red, green and blue colors. This can only be accurately measured and controlled with the help of particularly precise measuring devices. From the factory, EIZO adjusts each CG series monitor and its color and tone curve. This ensures a uniform color temperature across the entire grayscale. As a result, color reproduction is consistent, accurate and reliable on every CG319X.

The 3D LUT also offers advantages when working in film editing: With the help of the included ColorNavigator software, you can emulate the colorization of film material. You can see in advance how colors will be reproduced during playback. The 3D LUT also enhances the monitor's additive color mixing (mixing of red, green and blue). This is a key factor for the correct display of neutral gray tones.

3D LUT profiles for film production

Film emulation with 3D-LUT ColorNavigator can use 3D-LUT files from film color grading to generate data for emulation on the monitor. This film emulation is available for up to five monitor color modes and is suitable for simulating film colorization.

Keep safe thanks to the Safe Area Marker

Ideal for subtitles and critical images: Thanks to the Safe Area Marker, you know which area of the scene is displayed in a different aspect ratio. You can immediately see whether subtitles, text or important image elements are in the visible area. You can adjust the color, size and aspect ratio of the marker so that it is clearly visible in all images.

Aspect Marker

The aspect marker allows you to see which areas of DCI 4K (4096x2160 pixels) or 2K (2048x1080 pixels) footage are displayed differently when played back on different devices with a different aspect ratio.

4K zoom

To assess detail and sharpness, you can quickly and easily zoom in on different areas of the monitor image by selecting them directly from the monitor menu.

High brightness warning

The brightness warning can be used to mark zones that exceed a certain brightness (300, 500, 1000 or 4000cd/m²) when using the PQ mode. These zones are optionally marked in yellow or magenta.

Gamut Alert

The gamut alert works in two modes: Rec.2020 image content that cannot be displayed in the Rec.709 color space is displayed in grayscale. Alternatively, the Rec.709 clipping mode simulates what Rec.2020 material would look like on high-definition televisions.

Ideal for video and film production: HDMI

It is common for movies to be recorded at 24fps. Therefore, when played back at 50 or 60Hz, as is common with monitors, they look unnatural. The monitor supports 24 and 60Hz frame rate. You will be able to view and edit your footage as it was recorded.

HDMI signals support 60, 50, 30, 30, 25 and 24 Hz refresh rates. In addition, the monitor features I/P conversion.

Color Space Presets for Film and Video Production

The presets of the CG319X for the DCI-P3, Rec.709 and Rec 2020 color spaces are precisely calibrated at the factory and ensure that you work with the correct gamma values. In addition, the color modes for PQ (DCI and Rec.2100) and HLG (Rec.2100) for displaying HDR content are also preset at the factory. The color modes can be conveniently changed by pressing a button on the monitor and recalibrated with ColorNavigator if necessary.

One monitor, many connections

It couldn't be easier: you can connect most of your end devices, such as PCs, laptops or cameras, directly to the CG319X monitor, as it features different interfaces.

The CG319X supports various video formats up to 10-bit 4:4:4:4 at 50/60p via DisplayPort input and 10-bit 4:2:2 at 50/60 Hz via HDMI. Thus, the CG319X can not only integrate into PC-based workflows, but can also be used with HDMI sources.

No flickering

The monitor does not flicker at any brightness setting. The advantage: your eyes do not get tired as quickly. You can work on the screen for an extended period of time.

Anti-reflective coating: more image, less reflections

CG319X offers an optimal anti-reflective surface. By minimizing reflections by scattering reflected light, the CG319X effectively prevents glare and eye fatigue. Eye fatigue is reduced, and you can sit comfortably in front of the monitor without a "forced position" to avoid glare.
