The CYP AU-DTI4-TX is a 4-channel analogue audio to Dante output converter. With built-in support for Dante technology, which extends and routes audio over standard Ethernet networks, this Dante encoder is an important part of a simpler and more flexible system for managing large audio systems than traditional physical point-to-point cabling.
Dante dispenses with heavy and expensive multi-core analogue audio cables and replaces them with low-cost, easy-to-manage Cat.5e or Cat.6 cables, while maintaining the high quality expected from uncompressed digital audio.
Due to the packet-based nature of Ethernet data transmission, there is no need to worry about the traditional enemies of long distance audio extension, such as analogue signal interference, crosstalk or signal attenuation. All this with the lowest possible latency (around 1ms).
The unit is equipped with four analogue mono audio inputs and a Dante output port that can transmit up to 4 channels of digital audio and is compatible with any standard Dante audio receiver to which audio can be routed. Each audio input can optionally supply phantom power (5v or 48v) if required by a connected audio source such as a microphone, as well as Pre-Gain level adjustment.
It is powered directly via PoE (Power over Ethernet), allowing for greater flexibility in installation location. Basic configuration of the device is done by serial port via USB, while routing and network configuration management is done via third party control software.
