ROI Mini-Converter allows high quality conversion of computer DVI or HDMI outputs to SDI video at an affordable price and a very portable size. With incredible image scaling, extensive aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, and audio functionality ROI fulfills the need to properly incorporate computer signals into the video world without sacrificing budget or space.
The free MiniConfig application lets you, interactively, select a Region of Interest from the incoming signal and control how that region is scaled to the output resolution using high quality scaling algorithms for the cleanest picture quality possible. Eliminate extra interface clutter and menu bars and extract only the portion of the image you want.
AJA ROI-DVI Converter Features:
- DVI to 3G-SDI conversion
- Region of interest scaling
- Pass through DVI loop
- Supports SD, HD and 3G formats
- EDID emulation
- Audio embedding
- Aspect ratio conversion
- Frame rate conversion
- Genlock input
- Configuration via USB port and supplied Mini-Config software
- Uses 5-18VDC power supply (universal power supply included)
Region of interest:
The ROI-HDMI converter's free Mini-Config software connected to a computer via USB allows you to interactively choose a region of interest from the original signal and be able to control how that region is scaled to the output resolution using AJA's scaling algorithms for the cleanest possible image quality.
Conversion:
Using the software we can control the aspect ratio and frame rate, showing you what the source and output look like and the input and output formats.
Connectivity:
ROI employs a direct loop-through, allowing you to place it in-line to still have a connection to an external monitor while outputting to SDI. The reference input allows you to lock the SDI signal coming out of ROI so that it can be used in production or on-premises.
Audio:
ROI supports 2-channel audio from the 3.5mm analog audio input or 8-channel embedded audio from an HDMI input. From the Mini-Config software the audio source and routing can be selected and integrated into the SDI output. This allows the computer audio to be embedded within the SDI signal for easy and synchronized routing.
