Altair 4+1 Serie Compact - Wireless Intercom System

The ALTAIR “Compact Series” 4+1 wireless pack is a professional intercom solution designed to provide secure, stable, and high-quality wireless communication in environments such as live productions, theaters, television, shows, and events. The system consists of a WBS-200HD single-channel base station and four WBP-200HD single-channel wireless beltpacks, allowing simultaneous communication between one fixed-position user and four mobile users.

The WBS-200HD base station supports up to four Compact Series wireless beltpacks and up to twenty ALTAIR wired beltpacks. It features two front-mounted omnidirectional antennas that form a Diversity system, which automatically selects the strongest radio signal to ensure maximum coverage and minimize communication dropouts. The system delivers audio quality in the 100 Hz to 7 kHz range, significantly enhancing intelligibility in noisy environments. For secure communications, the base station includes a digital encryption system. It can be powered by another base station or via a 12 VDC battery.

The WBP-200HD Compact Series wireless beltpacks have a compact and ergonomic design, making them ideal for intensive working conditions. They are equipped with internal antennas, improving comfort when worn on a belt and reducing the risk of damage from bumps or accidental snags. Each beltpack features a conveniently placed “MIC” button on the top of the housing and a front-panel LED bar for quick battery status monitoring. Additionally, a coverage indicator alerts the user when nearing the edge of the operating range, helping to prevent communication loss. The beltpacks include a battery-saving mode and are designed with low-power circuitry for excellent battery life.

Battery status can be easily checked using the LED bar on the front panel. Furthermore, Compact Series beltpacks offer power-saving mode functionality and are engineered with energy-efficient electronics. They feature a range indicator that helps prevent communication dropouts by warning users when they are approaching the system’s coverage limit.

The system has an approximate coverage range of 50 to 350 meters around the base station, depending on environmental conditions. This kit also includes a WBPC-200 multi-beltpack charger for the four beltpacks, five WAM-100/2 single-ear headsets, and a WBFC-200F flight-case-style transport case for easy storage and transportation of the equipment.
