Roland AeroCaster - All-in-One Streaming System

The Roland AeroCaster wireless live streaming system lets you forget the tangle of video cables and wirelessly stream any multi-camera production. By combining an iPad (requires iOS 14 or later) with up to four sources from iPhone or Android mobile phones, you can create a professional-looking programme for live streaming to popular streaming platforms. Take advantage of the system's ease of use to stream multi-camera music performances, online talk shows or commercial programmes.
 
In addition to video inputs, the AeroCaster Livestreaming system features a 3-channel audio mixer for adjusting professional audio levels from dynamic, condenser or instrument microphones via two XLR-1/4" combo jacks and a 3.5mm line input. Select from four video inputs, as well as the host iPad camera, to create PiP effects and split-screen displays.
 

The AeroCaster System

The AeroCaster system consists of the AeroCaster LIVE iPad app, the AeroCaster VRC-01 hardware control surface and audio interface, and the AeroCaster Camera app for iOS and Android mobile devices. BYOD screen sharing from computers and mobile devices is also possible.

Configuration

Roland's AeroCaster is a powerful, incredibly versatile and easy-to-set-up audio/video mixing and switching system. Quickly set up multi-camera streaming and high-quality audio to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and custom RTMP channels over a Wi-Fi or 4G/5G cellular network.
 

Wireless

With fully wireless connectivity, you can use readily available fixed mounts to place phones in locations where it's difficult to use a traditional camera. And with affordable gimbal mounts, you can capture stabilised mobile shots from as far away as your wireless network can reach.
 

Camera control

Once your mobile devices are connected to AeroCaster LIVE, you have remote access to all advanced mobile camera settings from within the app. Adjust the image between the different phone cameras and control set-ups such as focus, zoom, exposure, white balance and more.
 

Wireless screen sharing

The Roland AeroCaster Live also offers a simple solution for screen sharing from computers and mobile devices. Presenters can easily connect via the Google Chrome browser, over Wi-Fi, without the need for cables, video adapters or dongles.
 

Audio and video mixing

The hardware interface handles all your audio input and output needs, with the power of a small streaming mixer. With simple, straightforward controls, one person can manage video switching and audio mixing all at once, with no previous production experience required. Monitor your audio mix through connected headphones or monitor speakers, and you'll know that your live broadcast viewers are listening to the content you're delivering.
 

Audio quality

The AeroCaster hardware includes two XLR-1/4" inputs for connecting microphones, electronic musical instruments or a live mixing console. A wide range of built-in effects allow your artists to bring out their best. The headphone jack supports a headset microphone or the microphone on your headphones for a third vocal source, and you can bring in additional audio from a mobile device or music player via the 3.5mm stereo input.
 

AeroCaster LIVE app

From the AeroCaster LIVE app, you have built-in access to media content stored in iCloud Drive. Play your opening theme to start the stream, activate bumpers between breaks or simply add background music or sound effects whenever you want.
