The Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 is a modular design converter conceived for integrating SDI signals into IP environments based on the SMPTE ST 2110 standard, offering efficient conversion to high-quality HDMI outputs. Rack Mounting
This Blackmagic converter has been developed so that you can integrate any SDI 12G or ST 2110 signal and convert it to HDMI, in addition to providing up to 10 channels of balanced audio output. Its design allows it to be installed in racks, occupying a total of 1RU, alongside the devices whose signals need to be converted. The equipment has slots on each corner of the front panel to be able to screw it to a rack.

For High Definition (HD), it includes 720p at 50, 59.94, and 60 fps, as well as 1080i at 50, 59.94, and 60 fps. It also handles a variety of 1080p and 1080PsF formats at frame rates ranging from 23.98 to 60 fps. In the realm of 2K DCI, it supports progressive and segmented modes from 23.98 to 60 fps. For Ultra High Definition (UHD), it is compatible with 2160p at various frame rates up to 60 fps. Finally, it supports progressive 4K DCI formats from 23.98 to 60 fps. It complies with SMPTE standards 259M, 274M, 292M, 296M, 372M, 424M, 425M (Level A and B), 2036‑1, 2048‑1, 2081‑10, 2081‑11, 2081‑12, 2082‑10, 2082‑11, 2082‑12, and SMPTE ST2108‑1. It supports SDI metadata (RP 188/SMPTE 12M2) and optional closed captions (CC), with a standard audio sampling rate of 48 kHz and 24 bits. Color precision reaches 8 or 10-bit RGB 4:4:4 in all formats up to 1080p30, and 8 and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 in all formats, with color spaces Rec. 601, Rec. 709, and Rec. 2020. The HDMI output also supports a wide range of HD (up to 1080p60), UHD (up to 2160p62), and 4K DCI (up to 4Kp60) formats, with 4:2:2 color precision and YUV color space.
Advanced IP Compliance
For integration into IP workflows, this converter complies with SMPTE 2110-20 (uncompressed), facilitating lossless video transmission. It supports IGMP v2 for efficient multicast management. Regarding data traffic (SMPTE 2110-21), it acts as a sender (narrow) and receiver (narrow, wide synchronous, asynchronous). For audio over IP, it complies with SMPTE 2110-30 (PCM) at Level C. It also supports SMPTE 2110-40 for ancillary data, including full access to the SMPTE data stream, RP 188/SMPTE 12M2, optional closed captions (CC), and static HDR metadata. It uses the Blackmagic IP10 codec when converting 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 formats to IP 2110 10G. For precise synchronization, it incorporates the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) IEEE 1588-2008 (PTP v2), ST 2059-1, and ST 2059-2. It facilitates the discovery and registration of devices on IP networks via NMOS IS-04 (v1.3.2) through mDNS/DNS-SD, and connection management with NMOS IS-05 (v1.1.2), including natural grouping (NMOS BCP-002-01) and receiver capability (NMOS BCP-004-01).
Versatile Power Supply
The Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 features a universal internal power supply that operates between 100 and 240V AC at 50/60Hz, using a standard IEC C14 connector. For added flexibility and redundancy, it also includes a 4-pin XLR input (12V DC) for connecting batteries or external power sources, ensuring continuous operation even in the event of main power failures.
