Netgear GSM4230UP 24x1G PoE+ 1440W 2x1G and 4xSFP Managed Switch
NTG-GSM4230UP-100EUS
The Netgear GSM4230UP network switches are part of the M4250 AV switch line, designed for 1Gbps AV over IP installations facilitating clean integration with traditional rack-mounted AV equipment. This switch features PoE++ on 24 of its 1Gb Ethernet ports, a tremendously useful feature for powering devices and saving cabling. Total available power reaches 1400W when both power supplies are connected. Finally, two 1G SFP slots and two 1Gb Ethernet ports without PoE complete the total of 30 ports available on this Netgear switch. The GSM4230UP switches, like all of its series, has preconfigured profiles to handle standard audio and video protocol traffic (Dante, Q-SYS, AES67, NDI, etc.), and allows custom profiles when requirements are more specific.

Netgear's M4250 AV line of switches has been meticulously developed and tailored to meet the unique demands of audio and video professionals. With a strong focus on dedicated service and support, these switches are the ultimate solution for the burgeoning AV over IP market. Leveraging Netgear's extensive experience in AV networking through the renowned M4300 and M4500 series, combined with the knowledge of top experts in the professional AV field, the M4250 switches deliver unmatched performance and reliability.
The traffic generated by video and audio transport protocols often requires 1 Gbps or even 10 Gbps networks. The Netgear GSM4230UP is a 1G M4250 series switch with a wide range of features that ensure seamless integration into AV racks for clean and efficient configuration.
With preconfigured support for standard audio and video signals, the M4250 switches are suitable for a wide range of AV applications. But if more specific configurations are needed, the AV user interface allows easy customization with port-based profiles. For audio applications, profiles for Dante, Q-SYS and AES67 are available, along with an AVB profile that requires a separate license. For video, the M4250 offers profiles for NVX, AMX, Q-SYS, NDI, Dante, etc., as well as versatile mixed audio/video/control profiles.
When multiple switches in the series are used, NETGEAR's IGMP PlusTM streamlines the process, automating connections between switches or with the M4300 and M4500 models. Enjoy a common Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching engine across all M4250 variants, facilitating efficient network management.
The M4250 switches come with a rich set of extended AV features, including a dedicated AV Web-based GUI interface for simple and efficient AV installations. These switches make it easy to apply AV profiles by color-coding them to differentiate ports and streamline management. For enthusiasts of AVB, the industry standard for transporting AV content over a network, Netgear has integrated it into this product line, making it the ideal choice for situations requiring ultra-low latency, such as live performances where accurate lip-sync is paramount. All AV Line M4250 AV switches support AVB as an option.
Thanks to their versatility, these switchers are not only intended for AV professionals, but also for a wide variety of IT use cases. They allow for standard or flush mounting, with ports conveniently located on the front or rear. With a fully featured L2/L3/L4 platform, they are the perfect solution for mid-enterprise campus networks, IoT and IPTV.
NETGEAR's commitment to industry-standard management comes through with support for CLI, SNMP, sFlow and RSPAN, providing several options for network administrators: through the easy-to-use NETGEAR IT web interface (GUI), using the standard command line interface (CLI), or, for centralized management, using the NMS300 platform.
In addition, the NETGEAR M4250 Series is backed by the ProSAFE limited lifetime hardware warranty, 90 days of phone and email technical support, followed by lifetime technical support via online chat, along with lifetime next business day hardware replacement.
Experience the epitome of excellence with NETGEAR's M4250 line of AV switches - the unmatched choice for audio and video professionals seeking top-tier performance, reliability and dedicated support for their AV installations.
