Sennheiser MD431 Handheld Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone
The Sennheiser MD431 II is a handheld supercardioid dynamic microphone, offering extended frequency response for speech and vocal reproduction in concert halls, public address, houses of worship and live stage. It requires no powering and offers a frequency response from 40Hz to 18kHz. The supercardioid polar pattern is excellent at rejecting off-axis sound, providing greater immunity to feedback and low colouration. A hum compensation coil helps keep electrical noise to a minimum.
A anti-pop filter is available, while the anti-vibration mounting system prevents handling noise, all in a durable, heavy-duty metal construction. A silent on/off switch allows the microphone to be muted between performances. The XLR output ensures compatibility with most preamps and mixer inputs.
