Tilta Nucleus-M is a highly customisable 3-channel wireless lens control system. It allows you to have full control of focus, iris and zoom on the FIZ handheld unit or between the two wireless handgrips. You can even split control of the channels between the handheld unit and the wireless handgrips as desired at the touch of a button.
The wireless range of both the handheld unit and the grips is 300m. This makes it ideal for drone or car shots. Each motor has its own built-in motor that communicates directly with the hand unit and grips. This eliminates the need to mount a separate MDR on your rig, allowing for a more compact camera setup and faster set-up time. Place the motors and handheld unit/grips on the same channel and you have full control. The motors allow for automatic lens calibration, as well as manual calibration if using lenses that do not have hard end stops at near focus and infinity.
The motors are designed to fix on 19mm or 15mm rods. Each motor has a 0.8 mod, 35-tooth, 32-step gear, which is the standard gear size for cine lenses. To power the motors, it is only necessary to use a power port on the camera equipment. Just connect the P-tap power cable to one of the motors and then daisy-chain the power to the rest of the motors with the short 7-pin to 7-pin cables. The handheld unit and grips are each powered by two 18650 rechargeable batteries (batteries NOT included). When fully charged, the batteries in the handgrips last up to 2 days, while in the handheld unit they last up to 10 hours.
