2. Center Column: This is the vertical axis that allows the height of the tripod to be adjusted. Some models allow the column to be extended to reach higher heights or retracted for lower shots. Not all tripods have this part.

4. Quick Mount or Dovetail Plate: This is a platform that attaches to the camera and then attaches to the tripod head, allowing the camera to be mounted and dismounted quickly.
 
5. Leg Locks: These are the threaded or lever mechanisms that allow the tripod legs to be fixed at different lengths, to stabilize the camera on uneven terrain or at different heights.
 
The video tripod is different from a photographic tripod mainly in the head. While a photographic tripod is designed to keep the camera static, a video tripod allows fluid and controlled movements, such as horizontal and vertical sweeps, which are essential for capturing dynamic and engaging video footage.
