Embed or deembed up to 4 channels of SDI audio with AJA's 3G-AMA. The 3G-AMA includes a breakout cable that can provide up to four channels of XLR analogue audio input or output, depending on how the unit is configured. The 3G-AMA can be configured to accept four channels of balanced XLR audio to be embedded in an SDI video signal, or to extract four channels of SDI digital audio and output them as analogue signals through the four XLR output cables. The SDI output signal is realigned to preserve signal integrity over long cable runs.
Configuration of the 3G-AMA is simple with AJA's free MiniConfig software solution. The 3G-AMA connects to the computer running MiniConfig with an included USB 2.0 cable, allowing the computer to access the unit's internal programming so it can be configured for a specific workflow.

Audio embedding is user selectable, on a channel pair basis, to either pass 3G-SDI input audio or to embed input analog audio from the breakout cable. Analog audio levels are selectable. The 3G-AMA automatically detects and configures to the input video standard.
