The ATEN VE2812AT is a transmitter for sending VGA (with sound) and HDMI signals over a distance of up to 100m via a single Cat 5e/6/6a cable. Thanks to the integrated PoH (Power over HDBaseT) function, the VE2812AT receives power from the HDBaseT output port of the connected device. This eliminates the need for a power adapter. The VE2812AT ensures reliable transmission of HDMI signals and supports 3D, deep color and lossless embedded HD audio formats. In addition, it supports long range mode at a distance of up to 150m over a single Cat 5e/6 cable with resolutions up to 1080p.
The transmitter can be used as a video signal switcher by connecting two sources and distributing them to an identical output. It is recommended to install the VE2812AT in combination with the VE2812R. The VE2812R can transmit IR/RS-232 from the VE2812R to the VE2812AT, so that the VE2812AT unit can be remotely controlled via RS-232 by switching the input port. The solution is ideal for different environments, such as meeting rooms, digital educational environments or any scenario where high quality video is required.
