The lens has a 22x zoom ratio and a 2x extender that effectively doubles the focal range. The maximum aperture is f/1.8 at 7.6-120mm and drops to f/2.6 at 167mm. Includes 16-bit encoder and digital servo for zoom control.
Internal focusing minimizes lens breathing effects. QuickZoom assistant improves zoom speed to 0.7 seconds edge-to-edge. With the push of a button, the QuickZoom function provides a quick shift to the tele end to check focus. When the button is released, the zoom automatically returns to the previously selected focal length. The Zoom Limit function intentionally restricts the focal range to only desirable focal lengths.
