The Blustream RX150CS receiver for HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 (18Gbps) HDCP 2.2 HDBaseT™ and ARC signals offers market-leading features and exceptional value by utilizing CSC technology.
 
The RX150CS extends HDMI, bi-directional IR and RS-232 and is matrix powered up to lengths of 150m at 1080p (100m at 4K 18Gbps).
 
The receiver features ARC support when used with compatible Blustream hardware and simultaneous analog stereo, with Toslink optical audio deembedding.
 
Receiver recommended for maximum compatibility with the Platinum PLA88CS matrix.
  

HDBaseT™ color space conversion (CSC) technology

Because the data rate employed by HDBaseT™ technology is limited to 10.2Gbps, it does not support passing signals with native 4K UHD resolutions of 4K@60Hz 4:4:4.
 
It is now necessary to integrate video resolutions with data rates up to 18Gbps, in a multi-zone AV environment.
 
Blustream has implemented CSC (Color Space Conversion) technology in its products to ensure that 4K HDR signals can be compatible with the 10.2Gbps HDBaseT™ infrastructure.
 
Color Space Conversion reduces the data rate of the HDMI signal by converting the color space (or wide color gamut) from 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 to a lower format. Within the color space conversion technology, the native resolution, frame rate and color depth remain constant from one end to the other. The only part of the signal that is converted during transmission is the color gamut.
 
Blustream CSC products do not support HDR10+ or Dolby Vision, due to the way these specific HDR variations are encoded. These codecs transmit repeated metadata packets throughout the transmission of any media, making it impossible at this stage to convert in the same way using CSC technology.
