Roland XS-42H - 4x2 HDMI Matrix with Audio Mixer

The Roland XS-42H is a 4x2 HDMI matrix with audio mixer designed to be used in an extremely intuitive way, which anyone can connect to and immediately start sharing. The Roland XS-42H gets your meetings started instantly, with the fast and intuitive connection for up to four computers and tablets over HDMI. Installed in minutes, the XS-42H means you can lose the remote controls, forget the 'connection anxiety' and create a meeting space that anyone and everyone can use in seconds - without having to call the Technical Computing Department once again.

The XS-42H is small, lightweight and easy to place, while the supplied mounting bracket means it can be placed out of sight, but ready for action. You don't even need to physically press the button to change the input sources, as the XS-42H can be controlled from a web browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

The XS-42H features automatic input detection to quickly resolve the search for the right input and in use or recently connected, making the transition to an incredibly smooth new presenter while keeping everyone focused on the meeting.

The XS-42H can connect and display a comforting variety of sources. This is accomplished in two ways; EDID and Scaler. EDID (or Extended Display Identification Data) tells your PC or tablet the correct resolution to emit, so you never need to get involved. The scaler allows you to connect, switch and display between a variety of different sources and resolutions, so no matter what's going on, everything will work out fine!

When a computer is disconnected, the XS-42H can automatically return to a specified input instead of the typical black screen of a white input. This allows you to display a still image stored with your company logo, boardroom name, or the screen saver of a connected Apple TV or Chromecast. You can even provide a pleasant greeting for participants before the meeting begins.

Although most LED and LCD TV panels look good, sound is usually a secondary idea. The Roland XS-42H includes RCA stereo outputs for connection to sound bars or external speakers, for dramatically superior audio quality. The XS-42H's internal audio mixer will switch the audio to match the video input, using the audio embedded in the computer's HDMI signal, without requiring additional audio cables.

Using two screens, one next to the other, allows you to share more information and get more done. You can compare multiple documents, perform web searches while updating a proposal, or have a videoconference on one screen with research material on the other. The XS-42H allows you to do all this and more, with ten scenes that can be invoked to automatically switch between both screens to the correct input sources, along with the correct audio.

The XS-42H allows you to use any low-cost tablet as if it were a convenient touch controller, via the browser application. Once connected to your company's network, simply connect it to the IP address of the XS-42H and use the tablet to select presets, switch inputs and control volume, all without leaving your seat.
