This film camera has an ISO sensitivity from 100 to 25600 (102400 if extended) in video mode and from ISO100 to 51200 (102400 if extended) in photo mode. This wide range of sensitivities makes the camera adaptable to any circumstances.
The Canon EOS R5 C records on CFexpress and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards where simultaneous recording is allowed, on SD cards it is possible to record at bit rates up to 650Mbps. In addition, in dual recording mode it will be possible to record in: CRL/XF-AVC/MP4, All-I/Long GOP, 10-bit 4:2:2:2/10-bit 4:2:0/10-bit 4:2:0/8-bit 4:2:0 (8K/4K/2K/FHD). Like other cameras of the brand, it has the Relay Recording function that gives us a plus of security by being able to make the recording uninterruptedly in the two cards.
High frame rates of 120fps can be recorded in 4K/FHD RAW and in 8K up to 30fps or 60fps if powered by external connection. The recording formats Cinema RAW Light, XF-AVC 4:2:2:2 12-bit 10-bit and MP4 H.264/HEVC 4:2:2:2 and 4:2:0 10-bit and 8-bit are supported in video mode, in photo mode RAW/C-RAW/Dual Pixel RAW/HEIF/JPEG can be captured.
To make post-production work even more flexible, this digital cinema camera also offers Canon Log 3, PQ/HLG and ProRes RAW output modes via HDMI. Support for Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF (autofocus) provides accurate autofocusing, which in video mode features Eye AF and EOS iTR AF X and in stills mode is the II version of Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
The Canon EOS R5 C camera has a micro-HDMI connector (RAW 8K output available) and also a USB Type-C connector for power, charging and communication (UVC video output with the Content Transfer Mobile app). It has a 3.5mm microphone input and 1 mono mic integrated in the body (an XLR input could be included with the available accessory for it which is not included). It also has a 1 DIN 1.0/2.3 timecode input and output. The camera has a 3.2" touch screen LCD where you can select the focus points, change the shooting settings, start/stop recording, as well as rotate 90º for vertical shooting. This film camera also enables vertical shooting with a mode that is enabled for it.
The Canon EOS R5 C provides a shutter speed in video mode from 1s to 1/2000s depending on the frames per second and the shutter control mode selected (it has 39 options). In photo mode the speed is 30-1/8000s (in 1/2 or 1/3 step increments). It also has a Bulb mode that will vary depending on the selected shooting mode. Also its shutter angle will vary depending on the fps selected from 11.25º to 360º.
This camera can be connected to WiFi with the corresponding accessory (not included) and supports Browser Remote/Content Transfer Mobile/IP Transmission.
