A high-performance digital KVM system (keyboard, video and mouse) that allows you to locate your critical computing hardware in a secure, temperature-controlled environment while operation takes place elsewhere in the installation. Uncompressed digital audio and video are distributed in real time and without latency to multiple displays, allowing the user to maintain a PC experience. The USB 2.0 interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of USB devices. It can transmit two streams of Single Link DVI, USB 2.0 and analog audio up to 50m across two CATx cables to multiple displays, (distance will depend on video resolution, CATx cable type, and number of connection intervals).
For the connection of local and remote units, a shielded twisted pair CAT5 (or higher) cable must be used to maintain compliance with radio frequency energy emission standards and ensure an adequate level of immunity to electromagnetic disturbances. Distances are achieved using unique lengths of trunk/bulk cable. For each break/patch connection, reduce the distance by 5 m. Preferably, connecting cables should be CAT7a type and less than 2 m. Connection cables longer than 2 m must be CAT7a. The maximum extension distance for USB is 50m including connections to and from transmitter and receiver, regardless of cable type. If a USB hub is connected to the receiving unit, it is considered to have a cable length of 5m. This should be taken into account when planning the system. The use of CAT5e with this system is not recommended.
It offers perfect pixel digital video quality with real-time control, using uncompressed video extension; no visible artifacts or latency are introduced, allowing you to be sure of quality and control. You can connect any USB interface device as it offers the highest possible levels of USB compatibility. All low-speed USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices are compatible.
It allows the transport of digital audio for 8 channels embedded in HDMI, and simultaneously supports analog audio per 3.5mm connection and 16-bit stereo channel sampled at 44.1kHz to transfer audio from local to remote for line output.
The transmitter unit can only be powered from the host computer's USB connection. Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) allows the remote system to accurately reflect the date from the source monitor. These extenders are delivered in a zero-configuration state to operate as soon as they are connected, without the need for drivers or software.
