AJA FS1 Universal video frame synchronizer and converter

This HD and SD video converter supports virtually any input or output, analog or digital, HD or SD. It can scale between SD and HD and provide simultaneous outputs in HD and SD. It converts up, down and cross between high definition formats, with simultaneous output of both formats.

Perfect for use in Broadcast production and postproduction environments, the FS1 offers dual HD / SD-SDI inputs and outputs, integrated multi-channel audio and I / O connections for analog video equipment including HD and SD components.

For audio, it supports 8 AES channels, balanced analog or 16 channels of embedded audio with full flexibility and audio processing controls. It allows to choose between any of the 4 groups of audio embedded to the output of 8 channels in the AES or analog audio.

The FS are prepared to work in network and support monitored SNMP and web-based remote control. They can be connected to any Ethernet network through the built-in 10/100 / 1000MB Ethernet port, allowing control and configuration of multiple FS units from any web browser on a computer. Configurations can be saved and applied to multiple units, ensuring consistency and fast configuration in large installations.

To seamlessly integrate with automation, FS1 can also receive external GPI commands to trigger a variety of functions, such as freezing an input source.

The FS1 supports subtitle and subtitle conversion between SD and HD formats - including full conversion from CEA-608 to CEA-708. FS1 can preserve subtitles even when converting between formats, eliminating the need for re-insertion of subtitles after conversion.

Automatically sets the Active Format Descriptor (AFD) to match the converted signal. This means that the AFD information does not have to be inserted after the conversion and provides accurate information for devices comprising AFD.

The FS1 is designed to meet the demands of broadcast engineering and live event production, while providing incredible flexibility.

The redundant power supply guarantees uninterrupted power even in the event of a power failure.
