The Blackmagic Design Teranex Express is an SD, HD and Ultra HD signal converter. It converts SD and HD to UltraHD 4K (3840x2160) for viewing on large screens, or UltraHD video for use on HD monitors. Thanks to Teranex processing technology, it performs full 10-bit processing, with high quality UltraHD de-interlacing and upscaling algorithms. It can be used to synchronise external non-synchronous sources or professional cameras in production mixers. Conversions preserve timecode, include subtitle data and maintain audio sync.
It has 2 SDI inputs (one 12G and one 6G) and corresponding output connectors. It supports 12G-SDI and Dual Link 6G-SDI signals. The inputs/outputs also support SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals. Loop-out of inputs and genlock input. Accommodation for a fibre optic SPF.
