The ATEM Mini Extreme makes it easy to create professional multi-camera productions for live streaming on YouTube, as well as business presentations via Skype or Zoom. Simply connect up to 8 cameras to the mixer to switch between them with exceptional image quality, a computer for PowerPoint presentations, or a game console. The integrated DVEs allow multiple images to be used simultaneously.
ATEM Mini Extreme has a USB port that allows any computer to recognize it as a webcam, making it compatible with any Internet streaming software. In addition, it offers the ability to record content directly to USB drives.
Live production is the fastest way to create content and broadcast it to thousands of viewers worldwide via YouTube. The USB output works with any application used to stream content, and the Extreme allows you to stream directly over the Internet to the most popular social networks.
At the same time, with its eight HDMI inputs, multiple cameras can be used to capture different angles, such as panoramic images and close-ups of artists. It is also possible to display websites and PowerPoint presentations or connect game consoles. Switching from one source to another is instantaneous, which makes it possible to stream highly dynamic content on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and other similar platforms.
The ATEM Mini Extreme includes an Ethernet connection, which allows you to stream live with better quality, without drop frames and with a simple setup. Simply select the streaming service and enter the passcode to start broadcasting.
The ATEM Software Control program has panels for configuring the transmission, and its status is displayed in the multiviewer windows. This information is very easy to understand, since the data rate indicator shows the required Internet speed for the selected format. It is also possible to modify the streaming profiles detailed in the preferences XML file and to load additional services.
When doing live productions on location the ATEM Mini Extreme allows you to connect Apple or Android phones to the USB port, to use mobile data or as a backup to the main Ethernet connection. The network connection works with high-speed 5G or regular 4G cell phones. When connected to the mixer, the mixer automatically detects them and starts using that connection to access the Internet, without the need to change settings. At the same time, the phone is charged via the USB port, which eliminates the possibility of battery drain, providing great portability for all kinds of mobile productions.
The ATEM Mini Extreme offers the ability to record long-duration H.264 files with ACC audio directly to USB flash drives. Multiple storage media can be used using a USB adapter or a Blackmagic MultiDock. When one device becomes full, recording automatically continues on the next device. Recording settings and choice of drives are configured in the ATEM Software Control program. In turn, the recording status will appear in the multiviewer windows. In addition, when connecting Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera models, it is possible to activate recording on the camera itself from the mixer.
