Rent Matrox Monarch HDX, streaming encoder Recording. A simple and versatile streaming video recorder designed specifically for live broadcasters who need a flexible solution powerful enough to meet the demands of today's video transmission streams.

It has 3G-SDI and HDMI connections, with frame synchronization that corrects any input irregularities, as well as two independent H.264 encoders, which can be assigned to different tasks.

The Monarch HDX can tackle any task such as streaming to two different destinations, recording a proxy quality file while simultaneously recording a master quality version for later editing, or using one encoder to stream while the other encoder records the content at a higher quality for VOD downloads. Whether used as a live streaming encoder or to record video, the Monarch HDX integrates seamlessly into any SD or HD installation.

When used as a webcast encoder, the Monarch HDX generates an H.264 encoded stream that complies with RTSP or RTMP protocols. Each channel can be assigned separately to transmit only what is needed and when it is needed. Each channel is capable of transmitting up to 10Mbps, allowing simultaneous transmission to two destinations or configuring the device to transmit up to 20Mbps of quality to a single encoding destination.

The Monarch HDX is a flexible H.264 video recorder. Content is captured as MOV or MP4 files, ensuring that they can be played back in any application. Recordings can be stored locally on an SD card, USB memory stick or remotely on a network mapped drive. Dual channel recording allows the user to record content simultaneously locally or on a remote drive, meaning that any user on the network can access the files immediately. This also ensures that no action is lost, even if the network fails. In addition, if the content is sent to devices with variable decoding capabilities, each recording can be configured with different bit rates.

Regardless of the input selection, SDI or HDMI video and embedded and analog audio, the outputs are live. In SDI processes, the Monarch HDX recorder has extremely low transfer latency with an integrated no-power-loss relay that, in the event of power loss, will route the SDI input directly to the SDI output, ensuring signal path integrity.
